Thomas In, a former global tech portfolio manager at SAC Capital subsidiary Sigma Capital, has struck out on his own, with Vulcan Global Investment Partners. The New York-based firm recently launched a long/short global technology fund.
The fund focuses on identifying, improving and deteriorating long-term and short-term trends across a global technology universe. In divides the stocks into four value chains: hardware, telecommunications, software and services and consumer-related devices. These value chains include analysis on everyone from customers and suppliers to competitors, manufacturors and distributors/resellers.
