SEC chairman says registration is coming soon


Securities and Exchange Commissioner William Donaldson confirmed yesterday that the SEC will propose rules requiring hedge funds to register with the agency. "I don't want to put a timetable on it, but it's going to be sooner rather than later," he said in an address to the Securities Traders Association at their conference in Washington, D.C. this week.
