Birinyi starts U.S. equity fund


Laszlo Birinyi, the market pundit on CNBC and founder of the research firm, Birinyi Associates, has teamed up with National Hall Capital to launch a U.S. equity fund. The firm was founded by Scot Six, Gregg Healey, Kurt von Holzhausen and Steve Johnson. It launched a special situations fund focused on private placements earlier this year and will launch the equity fund later this summer. Six and Healey were both managing directors in Deutsche Bank's Global Equity Group. Von Holzhausen was at Morgan Stanley. Johnson was at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
