A modest Benton sets out stall for the recovery

Andor Capital's technology funds all gained during the first three weeks of May, supporting the optimism and managerial changes that Andor Capital outlined at its annual investor meeting last month.

Founder Dan Benton held this year's get-together at the New York Public Library, an appropriately serious setting for a manager who still hadn't met face-to-face with many of investors to explain his 13% aggregate loss last year - or his plan for reversing it.

Such was the sobriety of the event that Benton even wore a suit and tie - clothing that some investors didn't know he owned.
