Blackstone Group has hired Bruce Amlicke away from UBS O'Connor's Alternative Investment Solutions Group to become $9 billion fund of funds group's first chief investment officer. At the same time, Hal Lindquist, who had served as Blackstone's senior investment officer, has been named chief investment strategist. Lindquist will oversee development of BAAM's overall investment strategy, while Amlicke will be a member of the investment committee at Blackstone. Tom Hill will continue to chair the investment committee.
