At a time when the SEC appears to be waffling over whether to increase regulation for hedge funds, Massachusetts Secretary of State William Galvin has weighed in seeking stronger oversight of the industry. Speaking at a Boston Business Journal awards' dinner, Galvin said the SEC and Congress need to endorse rules that would require hedge fund registration with the SEC.
