Grant to build U.S. platform for Cheyne

Ken Grant has joined $3 billion Cheyne Capital Management, where he will fill the new role of global risk management chief and develop the firm's first U.S. products.

Grant is best known in the industry for serving as risk management chief for Tudor Investment and chief investment strategist at SAC Capital Management. Most recently, he was chief investment officer at Exis Capital Management.

Grant started work last month in Cheyne's New York office. London-based Cheyne is a five-year-old player in the structured finance and convertible arbitrage markets.
