Pequot Capital brings back top trader to help with expansion


Pequot Capital Management has lured former trading chief Peter Dartley out of retirement for a new post designed to help the $6.5 billion firm execute plans to add more funds it its platform.

Dartley, who will work out of the Westport, Connecticut firm's New York office and will hold the title of managing director, started his new post earlier this month.

Pequot, the diversified firm run by Art Samberg, is not commenting on what strategies might be up next, but the firm is said to be preparing to roll out a global macro fund.
