Quadriga and Angelo Gordon in scrap over Superfund name

A U.S. division of Vienna, Austria-based managed futures firm, Quadriga Investment Group, has filed a complaint in a federal court in Illinois against New York investment firm Angelo Gordon for trademark infringement over the use of the Superfund name.

Quadriga uses the name Superfund for one of its high-profile products and has filed the complaint against Angelo Gordon for using the name on a number of its products. Quadriga is demanding $75,000, according to court documents.

Quadriga has courted controversy in the U.S. when the Securities and Exchange Commission ordered Quadriga to stop calling the fund a hedge fund.
