The Managed Funds Association has named a former CFTC staffer, Scott Parsons, as the new executive vice president for strategic and government affairs.
Parsons began his new job at the hedge fund industry lobby group earlier this week. His principal mandate in this newly-created post is to assist MFA president Jack Gaine and the organization's board and membership in arguing their point of view with legislators and regulators. In addition to his lobbying efforts, Parsons will help develop MFA initiatives on policy, membership and education.
