Tradewinds manager surrenders to authorities

Charles Harris, the portfolio manager who fled the country via his yacht and mailed investors a video telling them he'd ripped them off, has turned himself to authorities.

Harris, whose firm was called Tradewinds International, faces criminal and civil charges from the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trade Commission for allegedly lying to investors in his Tradewinds II funds about the fund's returns and for spending their money on himself. Harris was taken into custody in Miami and is now being held in Chicago, according to the Wall Street Journal.
