Debra Fine, a former equity manager at Loews Corporation, has established New York-based Fine Capital Partners with the goal of rolling out a U.S. equity fund in November.
The fund will employ a long/short equity strategy and will invest in stocks within the small to mid-cap range using fundamental research. For the past five years, Fine has been director of global equities at Loews Corporation, a diversified conglomerate controlled by the Tisch family. Larry Tisch at one point owned CBS.
Prior to Loews, Fine worked on the buy-side at Sanford Bernstein.
