Kingdon brings in Sohn to replace Swergold


Kingdon Capital Management is beefing up its technology team, which is also losing one member who is planning to start a new hedge fund.

Beginning on October 1, Paul Sohn started at $3.1 billion Kingdon as a portfolio manager covering software, replacing Mitch Swergold, who plans to launch his own long/short equity fund. At the same time, Kingdon is promoting John Wu from senior analyst to portfolio manager, covering internet stocks.
