Wharton offers full length hedge fund industry course


Wharton, the prestigious business school of the University of Pennlysvania, has begun offering its first full-length course on hedge funds and the hedge fund industry.

Teaching the course are Leon Metzger, vice chairman of Donald Sussman's $2.4 billion Paloma Partners, and Christopher Geczy, a former member of the Federal Reserve Board and an assistant professor of finance at Wharton.

The course, which is open to both undergraduates and graduates, will provide students with a broad overview of the industry, its strategies and history, as well the details of hedge fund administration, structuring, risk management and regulatory issues.
