York takes on Weber for new president role

With plans to continue growing even after doubling its size over the last year to $3.7 billion, York Capital Management is also expanding its senior management.

Starting on October 1, Jeff Weber assumed the role of president - a new post intended to take over responsibility for day-to-day management of the non-investment aspects of York's operation from founder Jamie Dinan and his partner, Dan Schwartz.

Weber was most recently chief executive of William A.M. Burden & Co., the family office of the Burden family. Burden is a big investor in hedge funds including York Capital, and was a
