David Einhorn, manager of the Greenlight Capital funds, is outperforming most of his peers by a massive margin this year - and September was no exeception.
In a market where the S&P 500 has returned 0.24% for the year-to-date, his Greenlight Capital LP fund is up a whopping 15.55% by comparison. Greenlight, which has $1.7 billion under management, returned 2.30% net-of-fees and expenses for the month of September, beating the S&P 500's 0.94%. The fund's 12-month return is an impressive 26.97%.
Refusing to accept the conventional wisdom that there are not enough inefficiencies to exploit and that the
