Five Mile plans fixed-income fund for 2005


Five Mile Capital Partners, the hedge fund and private equity firm based in Stamford, Conn., is launching the Silvermine Fund in early 2005. The global fixed-income vehicle will be seeking absolute returns through macro, relative-value investing between and within the major, global fixed-income markets.

Gary Holloway, one of the founders of Five Mile Capital and former co-CEO of Greenwich Capital Markets, and Jack Poulson, who was previously a proprietary trader at Greenwich Capital Markets, will manage the fund.

Silvermine underwent an incubation period during 2004 with partner capital and has achieved outstanding performance over this period. Five Mile expects
