Robin Hood Foundation presents awards at annual ceremony

The Robin Hood Foundation, a charity founded by Paul Tudor Jones and supported heavily by the hedge fund community, this morning honored five New Yorkers who work for the non-profit organizations the group sponsors, presenting each with checks for $50,000 and a Robin Hood Heroes Award.

This year marked the 15th anniversary of the awards. Held at the Plaza Hotel in New York, the event attracted an array of hedge fund heavyweights, including Jones and board member Lee Ainslie of Maverick Capital, along with Glenn Dubin of Highbridge Capital, Raj Rajaratnam of Galleon and Art Samberg of Pequot.
