Boston-based OneWorld Investments recently named Daniel Smythe as managing director of investor relations and marketing. Smythe will answer to Ignacio Sosa and David Dali, principals and co-founders of the firm.
OneWorld Investments manages $280 million in hedge funds that invest principally in debt and equity-related opportunities in emerging markets.
Before joining OneWorld, Smythe ran the Boston office of the Seaport Group, a broker dealer that focuses on distressed debt. He has worked for two decades in debt and securities markets, at firms including BancBoston, Lehman Brothers, Kidder Peabody, and Solomon Brothers.
