Gabriel Bousbib, a founding member and current president and CEO of PlusFunds, this week announced his resignation from the group, which manages absolute returns portfolios linked to the S&P Hedge Fund Index.
Bousbib's future plans were not immediately clear. And New York-based PlusFunds did not say who would be named as a replacement. However, a possible candidate to replace Bousbib may be Christopher Sugrue, chairman of PlusFunds.
Even though Bousbib will be stepping down from his post this month, he will remain affiliated with the organization as an advisor to PlusFunds' board of directors through to the end of February
