The MSCI Hedge Fund Index on January 4 boosted the number of individual funds tracked by the benchmark from 109 to 120. The new additions create an index that is close to double the size the MSCI was when the benchmark was launched in July 2003. And even before the addition of new funds, MSCI contained more funds than any other investible hedge fund index.
