Fall River Capital is readying its first ever offshore futures fund. The forthcoming Fall River Capital Fund Ltd. is expected to trade a diversified basket of some 70 commodities and financial futures markets. Included will be equity futures, currencies, bonds, metals, energies and grains. Other markets traded will be so-called "soft commodities," including sugar, cocoa and coffee.
The Mequon, Wisconsin-based futures shop expects the new managed futures program to be launched in the Spring. A U.S. version of the strategy was opened to investors in late 2004. The portfolio is overseen by veteran futures trader Robert Friedl.
