Friends mourn loss of Thomas Little, Jr.

Thomas Little, Jr., a portfolio manager and specialist in mortgage-backed hedge fund strategies, died in February. The quantitative hedge fund manager held a doctorate in statistics from the University of California at Berkeley. But among friends, he was best known for and may be remembered most fondly for his skills at the helm of sailing ships. A long-time member of Connecticut's Cedar Point Yacht Club, Little was the winner of the 1986 Smythe Trophy for being the best sailor on the Long Island Sound. Little, along with his brother Jason and father Thomas, swept the Vineyard Race in
