Sanjay Motwani, who previously headed Kingdon Capital's non-Japan Asian investments, has left the firm to launch his own fund.
According to a letter sent to investors last month, Motwani's role is being taken over by Irfan Verjee, who was Motwani's lieutenant for the last five years. Rajesh Sachedva, another analyst in the group, will join Motwani in his new venture.
Motwani's Sansar Capital Management will launch in the summer. It is unclear how much capital Motwani intends to run, but he is well-regarded and expected to have little trouble raising it given the current excitement about Asia. According
