Tudor offers $100,000 for tsunami relief

The tsunami that rocked parts of Asia in late 2004 has resulted in an outpouring of giving by residents living in and around Greenwich, Conn. - one of the nation's largest hedge fund hubs. Local residents have raised some $500,000 to help so far, relief agencies say. But one of the largest gifts has come from hedge fund veteran, Paul Tudor Jones, who recently gave $100,000 to a Red Cross relief fund. Red Cross officials say that with the exception of the $100,000 gift from Jones, most of the money came from regular residents in much smaller denominations.
