R. G. Niederhoffer reopens to new investment


R. G. Niederhoffer Capital Management has opened its flagship quantitative global macro funds to new investments for the first time in two years.

The R. G. Niederhoffer Global Fund and the Roy G. Niederhoffer Ireland Fund, the U.S. and offshore versions of the firm's diversified program, will together take in about $250 million.

On a composite basis, after falling by about 15% last year and continuing to slide in January and February, the funds seemed to have turned a corner, rising by more than 2% in March and about 1.5% in April. They are now down 2% for the
