Bruce Eliot, the founder of Helix Investment Partners, has started a new venture with several portfolio managers from Helix. The Los Angeles-based firm, dubbed Mulholland Capital Advisors, recently began trading a global multi-strategy fund with close to $25 million in assets. The fund focuses on capital structure arbitrage, event-driven/special situations, relative value, credit long/short and volatility arbitrage.
