New York-based equity shop Atlantic Investment Management announced it has hired Bruce Berger as its chief financial officer, a newly created position within the firm, and Katerina Bouzalis as a senior accountant.
Berger will oversee finance, administration, compliance, legal and SEC-related matters at the $3.4 billion firm. Berger most recently served as CFO/Controller at Advent Capital Management, a $4 billion alternative asset management firm. Before that, he worked as a controller at Maple Financial Group, a broker dealer and asset management firm, from 2001 until 2004. He was a manager at Arthur Andersen LLP from 1997 to 2001,
