Marcos Douer, former president and chief investment officer of J. Safra Investments in New York, has launched a global macro firm called Precision Asset Management. He is joined by chief operating officer Sol Picciotto, former head of risk management at HSBC in the U.S.
Douer's Global Precision Fund will invest in U.S. fixed income, emerging market debt and currencies using directional and relative value trades. It will also bet on long volatility strategies using options. Douer has been making similar investments for 20 years.
