Tiger tech player going global


In a move to better reflect the broad reach of his $1 billion firm's investments, Tiger cub Chase Coleman has given his Tiger Technology Management the new moniker Tiger Global Management.

Coleman launched his firm in 2001 from the incubator platform run by his old boss Julian Robertson at Tiger Management.

Initially, he focused on technology and technology-related companies, but over time, he has expanded the sectors he covers, something that sometimes concerns investors.

But Coleman's limited partners are only too happy to see his generalist style made official: Coleman has produced consistently high returns, generating about 25%
