Timothy Barakett’s Atticus Capital is outsourcing the administration of its domestic and offshore funds to International Fund Services (IFS), a global provider of fund accounting and administration services to the hedge fund industry. The switch will be effective as of January 1, 2006.
Atticus, which manages assets in excess of $7 billion, had for many years managed its own onshore fund administration and accounting, using Goldman Sachs for offshore administration. Goldman will no longer be providing those services to the firm as a result of the switchover.
