Jeffrey Keswin, managing partner at investment firm Lyrical Partners and cofounder of Greenlight Capital, has provided an undisclosed amount of seed capital to Oak Street Capital Management, which was recently founded by former Coghill Capital alum David Makula.
Makula, who was an investment manager at the $700 million Coghill, founded Oak Street in July, launching a long/short equity fund focused on the small-cap sector. Initial capital came from friends and family. The firm's total assets under management are approximately $10 million.
The Oak Street Small Cap Fund will invest in public companies with market capitalizations of approximately $10 million
