Volatility reigns


With an estimated 14% of U.S. refining capacity knocked out by Hurricane Katrina, energy prices remained choppy through September. A number of funds continued their upswing. Thunder Energy Partners was up 6.76%, bringing its total to 36.44% for the year. Martin Currie ARF - Global Resources gained 3.22% in September to total 24.71%. Dorset Energy Fund rose 4.43% to climb 40.06% for the year. Ritchie Energy Fund, which lost 16.8% in August, gained 1.53%, putting it at -13.97% through September.
