Kyle Bass, one of the street's top institutional brokers, will join his former hedge fund clients with the mid-February launch of Dallas-based Hayman Capital Partners, a special situations fund.
Hayman is expected to draw capital from several high-profile names from the client roster Bass served during his days at Bear Stearns and later at Legg Mason.
Bass became, at 28, one of the youngest partners in Bear's history. Legg Mason recruited him and his team in 2001, reportedly signing up Bass with a contract valued around $12 million.
