Long-time vice-chairman Leon Metzger and recently appointed president Eric Rosenfeld are both leaving Paloma Partners, chairman Donald Sussman disclosed in separate staff memos last week.
The departures come as Paloma moves towards completion of a sweeping reorganization crafted to boost flagging returns and rationalize the firm's size following significant year-end redemptions.
Metzger, who had been with Paloma for 18 years and previously held the role of president, is thought to be considering various career options, including something in public policy, possibly with a regulator.
Public policy has become a big focus for Metzger in recent years. Among other activities,
