New York-based Glenrock is closing its $310 million long/short global equity fund to new investors as of next Wednesday, March 1.
Glenrock Global Partners, managed by firm founder Michael Katz, has a strong track record. Since 2000, the strategy has reported annualized returns of 16.7%. In 2005, the fund advanced 16%, and it netted another 1.5% in January, helped by long positions in gold mining stocks and Japanese housing stocks, among others. Glenrock Global was launched in 1991.
