Dan Quayle's riff on Iraq, Bush and Hitler


Former Vice President Dan Quayle may be the chairman of Cerberus, but he's still a politician at heart. These days, that means distancing himself from President Bush. But speaking about the administration's unpopular Iraq war at a recent hedge fund conference held by the Strategic Research Institute in Scottsdale, Ariz., Quayle may have gone a bit far in describing the present quagmire. "It's like World War II," Quayle theorized. "Hitler thought he could take on the Russians. He did, but then what?" Whoops - was Quayle saying Bush and Hitler have something in common? MC
