The recently launched HSBC Halbis Distressed Opportunities Fund, managed by Kim Golden, recently hired Noel Hebert as senior analyst. Hebert comes to HSBC from alternatives shop Palisade Capital Management, where he was a fixed-income analyst and assistant portfolio manager.
The new HSBC fund launched on March 1 with $50 million in seed capital from HSBC Halbis Partners, the firm's largest seeding to date. The fund began accepting capital from European and Asian investors in March and will open to U.S. investors on April 1.
