Todd Hurlbut, a former Smith Barney executive, is planning to launch a global macro fund, his first, next month.
Everett Capital Partners, based in Sausalito, Calif., will take long and short positions in global equities, futures, currencies and commodities. The fund will be relatively concentrated, holding 20 to 40 positions across these asset classes at any given time.
