Lloyd Mandell, a former managing director at Larry Robbins' $6.7 billion Glenview Capital Management, is gearing up for a summer launch of his own long/short fund.
The first offering from Mandell's New York-based Coeus Capital Management, the fund will take a multisector approach and will be weighted toward technology and healthcare. Mandell focused on both areas at Glenview. The fund will also invest principally in U.S. companies.
Coeus will be long-biased and its core positions will carry a relatively long investment time horizon.
