Stephen Du Bois, a healthcare specialist who has worked with Ziff Brothers Investments, Sonar Capital Management and Pangaea Capital, has launched his own healthcare fund.
With his new Boston-based firm, Camber Capital Mangement, Du Bois is targeting small-cap healthcare companies that have been overlooked by mainstream research shops.
He takes a long-term view, avoiding the more catalyst- or event-driven approach of most healthcare funds. The portfolio is expected to be concentrated, and the investment horizon will generally run from six to 18 months.
