Chilton Investment has added two former Angelo Gordon veterans to co-manage a newly launched global distressed hedge fund.
Jim Malley and Anthony Caluori, tapped for their investing expertise in global distressed bonds as well as pre- and post-reorganization situations, will run Chilton's Global Distressed Opportunities Strategy fund, which was launched October 1.
Chilton says the hires are part of its long-term efforts to broaden beyond its traditional long/short investing.
With the same objective, the firm last year hired Leigh Goehring, who now manages Chilton GL Natural Resources, which had gained 3.46% through October 6.
