Griffin to finance museum art wing

Citadel Investment Group founder Ken Griffin and his wife, Anne Dias Griffin, have donated $19 million to help build a new wing for the Art Institute of Chicago.

The Griffins also promised to lend the museum their newly acquired 1959 Jasper Johns painting "False Start" for display in an exhibit scheduled to open next year.

A special section of the upcoming 264,000-square-foot Modern Art Wing, which has an estimated $350 million price tag and is scheduled to open in 2009, has been dubbed the "Kenneth and Anne Griffin Court".
