#Gemini Partners, an investment banking firm in Los Angeles, has recently rolled out its first fund. The portfolio, called Alacrity Capital, invests in private investment in public equity (PIPEs), structured debt and equity bridges for companies entering into public securities transactions. The firm is looking to raise as much as $100 million for the fund with the first close by yearend.
The fund will be managed by Martial Chaillet, Matthew Johnson and his brother Nathan Johnson. Chaillet, head of Alacrity's investment committee, is also a general partner of MediaWin & Partners, a private investment firm in Geneva.
