Deutsche launches two long/short strategies


Deutsche Asset Management has buttressed its quantitative strategies lineup by launching two institutional portfolios: a long/short market-neutral U.S. equity strategy and a 120/20 long/short U.S. large-cap strategy.

Fund managers Robert Wang, Julie Abbett and Jin Chen are aiming for the market-neutral strategy to outperform Citigroup's 3-month U.S. Treasury bill index by 8 to 10 percentage points. The 120/20 long/short strategy is designed to beat related Russell 1000 benchmarks by 4 to 6 percentage points.
