Credit Suisse has inked a deal with Hedging-Griffo to acquire a majority interest (50% plus one share) in the Brazilian asset management firm.
As part of the agreement, the Sao Paolo-based firm will be called Credit Suisse Hedging-Griffo. It will continue to be managed directly by the firm's current partners.
Hedging-Griffo manages approximately R$15.9 billion across its asset management and private banking businesses, including several global macro hedge funds. The firm also manages Green HG Fund, one of the biggest hedge funds in Brazil. Credit Suisse runs R$5 billion in Brazilian assets.
