Institutional investors are becoming increasingly comfortable with hedge funds, according to State Streets third institutional investor hedge fund study released this week.
According to the study, more than half of the respondents said they are more comfortable investing in hedge funds than they were 12 months ago. More than half of the boards spend more than 15% of their time on the subject, the study said.
The number of hedge fund managers hired directly by institutions also increased, the study concludes. Indeed, more than 56% of participants said that they invest directly with 10 or more hedge fund
