Vertex One Asset Management's Vertex Fund netted a gain of 2.68% in March to return 7.58% year to date, handily beating the Absolute Return Multistrategy Index, which rose 0.85% for
the month to total 3.50% for the year so far.
Vertex, founded in 1997 by HSBC alums Jeff McCord, John Thiessen and Mathew Wood, has in recent months benefited from metals, energy and financials.
