Five fight malaria

A group of hedge fund professionals, including Kingdon Capital Management's Kathleen Kelley, Galtere Investment's Renee Haugerud, Anglian Commodities Fund's Julian Barrowcliffe, Ridgefield Capital's Rob Ellis and Apyrous Capital's Ayo Fapohunda, have joined a campaign to finance one million mosquito repellant-treated bed nets needed to fight malaria in the African nation of Liberia. Tragically, a quarter of Liberian children under age five are killed by the mosquito-borne ailment. The campaign is being coordinated by "Malaria, No More," with Exxon Mobil currently matching donations made at The nets cost $10 each and last for years.
