Small-cap PE firm launches two new hedge funds


H.I.G. Brightpoint Capital Partners, the hedge fund division of H.I.G. Capital, a Miami private equity firm that focuses on small and mid-cap companies, has launched two new hedge funds.

H.I.G. Brightpoint Capital International Partners will invest internationally alongside the firm's flagship $720 million Brightpoint Capital Partners, which focuses on U.S. stocks. H.I.G. Brightpoint Capital Global Partners will act as a feeder fund, allocating capital to the other two vehicles. Both new funds began trading on October 11.
